IMMA General Assembly Meeting in Yogyakarta - Indonesia

The 2019 International Motorcycle Manufactures Association (IMMA) General Assembly Meeting (Spring Congress) was held on May 8, 2019 at Tentrem Hotel, Yogyakarta, Indonesia by the host of TheFederation of ASIAN Motorcycle Industries (FAMI) andIndonesian Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI). The IMMA meetings also consisted of Welcome Reception, 29th Road Safety Working Group, Technical Meeting, Working Session meeting, 89th Steering Committee Meeting and IMMA General Assembly Meeting (Spring Congress) during May 6-9, 2019. FAMI collaboration with AISI as the host also organized the special dinner in front of Prambanan Temple and social tour to UllenSentalu Museum, a Javanese culture and art museum located in Kaliurang highland, Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia. The museum displays relics and artifact from royal houses and keratons of Java, such as Yogyakarta, Pakualam, Surakarta, and Mangkunegara.

There were the representatives and experts from IMMA’s and FAMI’s member, such as ACEM, MMIC, USMMA, FCAI, SIAM, JAMA, TTVMA, TAIA and MASAAM attended and participated in this meeting. The total of participants are around 40 participants. For the coordination meeting aimed to discuss, exchange views and update the progress of motorcycle industry in each member countries for encouraging the way to support and development of the motorcycle industry together.

This IMMA meetings in Indonesia was held successfullywiththe biggest participant number ever. The meetingsare to effort into the developing of motorcycle industrial onwards. IMMA General Assembly Meeting has elected Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto as IMMA Vice Presidentrepresenting the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Mr. Johannes Loman, President of IMMA and Executive Vice President Director of PT Astra Honda Motor, Indonesia said, “As IMMA advances its strategy for sustainable growth of the two-wheeler industry in every region of the world, we are fortunate to have Rakesh with his wide experience in two and three-wheeler industry, to steer IMMA towards being the trusted global voice of the motorcycle manufacturers.”
